Awarded Posthuman

Awarded Posthumously. Does anybody want those words associated with their name? I suppose that should never be a goal, but why is it a thing? Because we don’t have time? Because we prioritized other things? Because we never took time to examine why that’s just how it is. But why? Why do we do that? And how do we fix it?

Awarded Posthumously should never be the goal, but especially not now. Ida B. Wells inspires me. Her life speaks to me the way some find inspiration in superheroes I suppose. Human transforms herself from grief and loss by exposing the white supremacy and how it is killing America. Reading her story makes me understand that part of myself which mutters under my voice, “They don’t know who they messed with.”
